1. Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools Menu and select Accounts.

Click Click here for advanced sending options.

3. Put a check in the box that says SMTP server requires authentication. Also, check the box that says Override default SMTP port: and set the value to 587. Make sure the dot is in Use same settings as incoming mail server.

Click OK.
